§ 1 Information about the collection of personal data

  1. Hereinafter we inform you about the collection of personal data during the use of our website. Personal data means all data that is relatable to you, such as name, address, email address and user behaviour.

  3. If you contact us via email or are using a dedicated contact form, we store the data transmitted by you (your email address and possibly your name and phone number) to answer your request. All data collected in this context is either deleted as soon as its retention is no longer required, or its processing is restricted, if there is a legal obligation to preserve it.

  4. If we task third parties to provide and/or fulfill certain functions related to our services or use your data for promotional purpose, we will inform you about these processes in detail within this document. We will also state fixed criteria for the duration of data retention.

  1. Regarding personal data concerning you, you have the following rights:

§ 3 Collection of personal data during a website visit

  1. During the use of our website for informational purpose, meaning if you don't register any account or provide personal information otherwise (e.g. using a contact form), we only collect the personal data transferred by your browser to our server. If you visit our website, we collect the following data, which is technically required to display our website and to guarantee the stability and security of our service according to art. 6 par. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR:

    • difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
    • content of request

    • Size of transferred data
    • Referrer
    • Browser
    • Operating system and GUI version
    • Language and version of browser software

     

  2. In addition to the previously mentioned data, we also store cookies on your computer during your website visit. Cookies are small text files, which are stored on your hard disk related to the browser you are using and through which certain information is made available to the party setting the cookie (in this case us). Cookies cannot execute any programs on your computer nor transfer any viruses. They are used to improve the usability and effectiveness of our services.

  3. Usage of cookies:

    • a) This website uses the following types of cookies, of which amount and purpose are explained in detail:

      • Transient cookies (see b):

        • PHPSESSID: Used to identify the PHP session;
        • cookie_countryid: Stores the country the website is being displayed for;

        • _gid: Google Analytics cookie (Validity: 24 hours)
        • _gat: Google Analytics cookie (Validity: one minute)

         
    • b) Transient cookies are deleted automatically as soon as you close your browser. These especially include session cookies, which store a so-called session id used to associate your browser's requests to a common session. These cookies allow your computer to be recognised, if you are returning to our website. Session cookies are deleted as soon as you log off or close your browser.

    • c) Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after their predefined validity expired, which can be different for each cookie. You can delete cookies at any time using the security configuration of your browser.

    • d) You can configure your browser individually and for example decline the acceptance of third party or even all cookies. This configuration may lead to the inability to use all functions of this website.

    • e) If you own an account for one of our services, we use cookies to be able to recognize you in case of return. Otherwise you will have to log in on every visit.

    • f) Used Flash cookies are not managed by your browser, but by the installed Flash plugin. Additionally we use HTML5 storage objects, which are placed on your device. These objects store required data independent of your browser software and do not expire. If you do not wish any processing of Flash cookies to happen, please install a respective add on (e.g. ”Better Privacy“ for Mozilla Firefox or the Adobe-Flash-Killer-Cookie for Google Chrome). The usage of HTML5 storage objects can be prevented by using the private mode of your browser. In addition, we recommend that you delete your browser's history and cookies frequently.

     

§ 4 Additional functions and services of our website

  1. Besides the informational use of our website, we offer several additional services, which you can use if interested. Usually these services require you to provide personal data, which we need to carry out such service and to which the previously mentioned principles of data processing apply.

  2. Sometimes we utilize third parties to process your personal data. These third parties were selected and instructed carefully by us, are bound to our instructions and are audited frequently.

  3. Furthermore, we may transfer your personal data to a third party, if raffles, contracts, or similar services are offered in cooperation with the respective third party. Detailed information about this is provided either in relation to the collection of such personal data or in the description of the respective offer.

  4. If our service providers or partners are located in a country outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you about the consequences of this circumstance within the description of the related offer.

§ 5 Objection or revocation of processing your personal data

  1. If you provided consent to process your personal data, you can revoke it at any time. A revocation influences the legitimacy of processing your personal data, when issued to us.

  2. Insofar we base the processing of your personal data on weighting of interests; you may lodge an objection against it. This would especially be the case, if processing of your personal data is not required to fulfill a contract between us, which is explained per case in the following description of functions. In case of an objection, we ask you to reason why we should not process your personal data as we do. In case of a reasoned objection, we will audit the case and either stop or accommodate such data processing or describe our reasons worth being protected to you, based on which we will continue the processing.

Usage of Google Analytics

  1. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (”Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called ”cookies“, text files, which are stored on your computer and allow for analysis of your usage of our website. The information about your usage of this website created by the cookie will usually be transferred to a server of Google located in the USA and be stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated, your IP address is shortened within a country inside the European Union or within a contractual state of the agreement for the European Economic Area, before being transferred to the USA. Only in exceptional cases the entire IP address will be transferred to a Google server located in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information by order of the operator of this website to assess your usage of it, to assemble reports about the website activities and to provide additional services related to website and internet usage to the website operator.

  2. The IP address provided by your browser will not be combined with any other data of Google within the scope of Google Analytics.

  3. You can prevent the storage of cookies by using the respective configuration of your browser software. We want to point out, that in this case, some functions or services of this website may not function to their full extent and/or cannot be used.   4. This website uses Google Analytics with the „_anonymizeIp()“ extension. Thus, all IP addresses are shortened before being processed in order to prevent any possibility of relating it to a person. Hence all personal data collected about you is deleted immediately.

By using the generated statistics, we are able to improve our services and to make them more appealing for you as a user. Usage of social media plugins

  1. We are currently using the following social media plugins: Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn. We are using the so-called Two-Click-Solution, meaning if you are visiting our site, we are generally not transferring any personal data to the plugin provider. You can recognise the provider of a plugin by the first letter of its name to be found in the tag of the box or the by the logo. We provide the option to directly communicate with the plugin provider using the button. Only if you click on the marked field and thus activate it, the plugin provider will receive information about that you visited our service. In addition, the data described in §3 will be transferred. Given the statements of the providers in Germany, Facebook and Xing anonymise your IP address immediately after collection. By activating the plugin, your personal data will be transferred to the plugin provider and is stored there (in case of an US-American provider, in the USA). Since the plugin provider collects data especially by using cookies, we recommend deleting all cookies by using the security configuration of your browser, before clicking the grayed-out box.

  2. Neither can we influence the collected personal data or processing proceedings, nor do we know about the full extent of data collection, the reasons for processing or the duration of storage. We don't have any information about the deletion of collected data by the plugin provider.

  3. The plugin provider stores the collected personal data as user profiles and uses these for advertisement, market research and/or adequate design of their website. Such evaluation is done especially (also for non-logged-in users) to display adequate advertisement and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.
